If you have been following my blog for a while, you will have noticed that I regularly post a black and white photo. I have had a love affair with black and white photography for what feels like forever. My first black and white photos were taken in my teens, and I even spent time in a darkroom developing film and printing pictures.
A while back I came across Jay Vulture’s photography and decided one day I’d visit one of his workshops. That day arrived not that long ago, and I was off on a beautiful adventure to Venice to learn about long exposure black and white photography. I learned a lot, and I still have a long way to go. But it was a wonderful experience and our small group of students had a great time together. We took photos of iconic Venice, of hidden Venice and even headed out to Pellestrina for an afternoon of photography away from the crowds that flock the city.
