Postcard from Pt. Reyes

Pt. Reyes National Seashore is a place which has given me many happy memories over the years and it was only natural that I wanted to visit it again. I have seen it with the sun shining brightly and in thick, moist fog, and always the wind tousling my hair. It was there I took my first exceptional black and white photograph, where as a young girl I ran free up and down the sandy beaches dipping in and out of the frigid waters and where I first heard of conglomerate. There are certain traditions which are a part of each trip to the coast: who sees the ocean first, a stop at the visitor center, going down to the lighthouse, tasting cheese at the “cheese factory”, and pastries from the Bovine Bakery . This time was no different, only that the stairs leading down to the lighthouse was closed.

Such a beautiful place and your photographs certainly do capture that beauty. I have fond memories of when we visited there years ago that I cherish.

  2. Your photos really capture the essence of Point Reyes. I especially like the one of the lighthouse. I have always enjoyed our trips there, and we had a beautiful one this time!
