After my trip to Venice, I was itching to do some more long exposure photography. After the holidays, I gathered up my tripod and camera and headed down to the lake in Rapperswil. It was cold. Very cold. The wind came up off the lake and it even started snowing. Even the birds didn’t do much more than bob along the waves.
According to the winter schedule, only one boat comes and goes per day.
One of my favorite places down at the lake is the wooden bridge which is also part of the Swiss Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James) and leads from Rapperswil to the Einsiedeln Abbey and takes approx. 5 hours to hike.
There are also other lovely corners along the lake. But before long, I had to pack up my camera again lest I freeze to where I was standing.
Such a lovely dream-like quality to these! Though I can imagine just how cold it was 🙂
Your photographs are stunning and I could feel the icy cold wind that was blowing against your face. Such a peaceful place to ponder what the new year will bring. Beautiful!
