Postcard from Rennes

Our first and last nights in Brittany were spent in Rennes, the capital of Brittany. It is an interesting city, well worth a visit in its own right. Old and new buildings sit next to each other, and the modern architecture, escpecially the new train station, is fun to explore. Fête de la Musique (basically France turns into a huge music festival for one evening) was the day before we left and we wandered around listing to bands play.

The following photos are from the first and last day of our trip.

  1. Fantastic photos! Rennes is a lot more interesting than I remember. I really like your juxtaposition of contemporary architecture with the traditional older buildings. Nice work!

  2. I love these! The light poles at train station look like reflections in water. And the last photo of new/old is perfect!
