Lake Constance Long Exposure

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a photography workshop, and I eagerly looked forward to the workshop my sister gifted me for my birthday: long exposure on Lake Constance. It was very warm and sunny but hazy- not at all the best weather for taking pictures.

We stopped at several locations along the eastern shore with bath houses and ended up in Lindau, a picturesque town on the lake. My last visit was probably close to 25 years ago and unfortunately this time we rushed through the old town on our way to the harbor, and I wasn’t able to enjoy the narrow streets and pretty buildings. I hope to return soon to really be able to explore and to sit on the lake enjoying the view.

I find that due to the hazy weather, some images are actually better in black and white.

This is possibly my favorite image of the day:

  1. These are excellent photos! Of course, your black-and-white (favorite) image is outstanding, but I am also very much impressed by the subtle colors of the lake at sunset.

Beautiful photographs even though it wasn’t the best weather. They are very mysterious!

  3. These are wonderful images. I also like your favorite, as well as the one with the setting sun peeking off the roof of the building. Beautiful!

    1. Thank you, Jeri!

  4. Simply beautiful! Several of the black and white images remind me of the photograph Bill McKinnon, very stark but hard to quit looking at. I also like the one you liked, the golden glow is gorgeous.
