Postcard from Rothenturm

With all the beautiful snow which had fallen and the promise of a bit of sun, I set the alarm for early in the morning so I’d be out at sunrise and back home again before the crowds showed up. The temperatures were arctic but once the sun rose and the sky turned a beautiful shade of apricot, I decided it was worth it.

    1. Thank you, Vince.
It is truly beautiful here, and I don’t take it for granted.

  2. These photos are absolutely stunning. You have such a wide variety of subjects, I can’t decide which I prefer. But put together they really show what an amazing early morning walk you had and how brave you were to be out in that cold air. I wish I could have walked there with you.

It’s like being in heaven, surrounded by soft white clouds, or maybe white goose down covering everything. The sun peeking out, throwing brilliant rays across the snow covered tree tops is breathtaking. A true winter wonderland.

I knew you were wise to go early, but not until I saw that peachy sunrise did I realize just how wise you were! So incredibly beautiful.
